dpf delete / removal
Our DPF delete software guarantees a hassle-free driving experience post-removal, assuring you that your vehicle will no longer encounter issues such as going into limp mode due to DPF regeneration. The predicament arises when driving conditions deviate from motorway settings, potentially leading to DPF blockages and necessitating regeneration. Once the soot within the DPF reaches a critical saturation level, replacement becomes imperative. Since the DPF is not scrutinized during MOT emission tests, its operational status is not a mandatory requirement. Through our fundamental DPF remapping service, the DPF functionality is deactivated, preventing any future regeneration attempts. The removal of the DPF filter from the exhaust core's center is meticulous, ensuring the preservation and functionality of all sensors. Despite the absence of DPF traps, the vehicle's sensors remain operational, eliminating regeneration-related issues.
benefit of dpf delete / removal

The DPF Removal software guarantees optimal vehicle performance without requiring the DPF. Combining a performance remap with the DPF remap yields even more significant enhancements compared to solely opting for DPF Removal.

  • Reduction of expenses associated with replacing parts.
  • Prevention of operational limitations triggered by vehicle regeneration processes
  • Improved fuel efficiency resulting from enhanced engine air intake due to the elimination of air flow restrictions.
  • Enhanced engine performance. Extensive dyno testing conducted before and after the removal of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) demonstrated increased power across all vehicles.
  • Following DPF removal, the use of biofuels becomes a viable option as concerns regarding DPF compatibility are eliminated.
how does dpf function:
The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) bears a resemblance to a conventional exhaust silencer; however, it is positioned in proximity to the engine. Internally, it features an intricate honeycomb ceramic structure designed to filter exhaust emissions efficiently while minimizing any hindrance to flow that might impede performance. By directing exhaust fumes through the channels within the DPF, soot particles adhere to the walls, effectively reducing air pollution levels. Upon reaching a specified saturation threshold, the DPF initiates a regeneration cycle to incinerate the accumulated soot, thus maintaining its filtering efficacy.
common causes for dpf failure:

Reasons why a DPF can fail:

  • High kilometers
  • Accumulation of fine soot due to compaction
  • Malfunctioning sensors impeding regeneration
  • Inadequate additive in fuel (if equipped), leading to incomplete combustion
  • Engine malfunctions like injector leaks, worn piston rings, and compromised valve stem oil seals
  • DPF unable to initiate regeneration due to driving conditions
  • Ineffective performance tuning
  • Driving at insufficiently high speeds on highways, hindering the regeneration process.

Notes on DPF Removal:

Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) are equipped with various sensors crucial for their functionality. These sensors encompass temperature sensors and differential pressure sensors, all of which must be operational for successful DPF removal.

In cases where a vehicle is in limp mode and the DPF is congested and necessitates replacement, a mere removal of the DPF may not always resolve the issue. The DPF malfunction often serves as a symptom of an underlying fault rather than the root cause. While a vehicle may need DPF replacement due to congestion, the underlying cause could be attributed to issues like leaking injectors. Even after DPF removal, if the car remains in limp mode with the management light illuminated, it might indicate that the DPF failure is linked to a defective differential pressure sensor.

Although DPF removal can present cost savings, it is essential to note that other components may require replacement, which may only become apparent post DPF removal.
